Description

According to the language of flowers, plumeria symbolizes beauty, charm, perfection and regality.

This flower arrived in Sicily in the mid-eighteenth century.

It is a very widespread flower in Palermo, the capital of Sicily, so much so that it has become a symbol of the city.

This flower made the first appearances in the bunches of the noblewomen who toured the center of Palermo, as well as in the streets and sumptuous noble palaces of the center.

In Palermo the plumerias are not kept in the home but on the balcony. It is said that a mother who has a daughter cannot keep plumeria at home because otherwise the daughter won’t marry. Everyone says they don’t believe this legend but, for some reason, the balconies of Palermo are full of fragrant plumerias!

ORDERING FROM THE UNITED STATES

NO VAT: You have the advantage of not paying the Italian VAT (Value Added Tax).

This means you don’t pay the 22% Italian Sales Tax of the selling price applied in Italy and the EU.

DUTY-FREE: Shipments with a total value of less than $799 USD are not subject to custom duty and tax.

This means that orders shipped with a value of $799 USD or less enter the U.S. Duty-free and have a simplified American import customs procedure. This amount includes shipping costs and is referred to based on the current US Dollar – Euro rate.

This rule applies to shipments made by a private individual in the United States applicable to only 1 order per day.

If the total value of your order is $800 USD or more, your shipment may be subject to custom duty and import taxes.

Customs duty is a tax imposed on goods when transported across international borders. These taxes are collected by the Customs Agency.
